A knowledge and inspiration meeting for professionals in secondary education, libraries and journalism.
In a diverse program with plenary and breakout sessions the central point is the importance of news literacy. We present the results of the European media literacy project SMILES. We connect the world of schools, libraries and journalism on a theme which concerns us all. News literacy is important to be more resilient against, for everyone in a vital democracy. Specially for younger people. In this congress we ask ourselves the question what the role of professionals in the field of schools, libraries and journalism is and what they require to provide good support. The language of the congress is Dutch.
